Dark, brooding and powerful, we bow our heads in silence and accept this elixir of the gods.

Hercules is a single vineyard wine from Blewitt Springs, being late ‘90s plantings on own roots. The elevation is 125m-130m with Western aspect, and the unique Blewitt Springs soil composition of sand over limestone/calcrete. The fruit was machine harvested in the early hours of the morning, destemmed and inoculated with a neutral yeast to ensure vineyard purity. Fermented for 14 days on skins and pressed off to tank at 4 baume. It was cap managed during fermentation suing 15 minute pump-overs twice daily. It was matured in new and old French barriques for 48 months, with 50% new oak, making it the AB&D wine with the most new oak exposure.
