We all associate with the rebels; there is a little rebel hidden away inside us all, even if it often doesn’t get to see the light of day. When everyone is talking, the rebel stays quiet; when everyone is silent, the rebel makes the noise – rebels are ace. Montepulciano, originally hailing from Abruzzo, has become a rebel in Australia, shifting perceptions of what wine should drink life. Edgy, sexy, delicious, with bright, crunchy fruits, detail, structure and line.

A wine which embodies modern Australian winemaking. Using whole bunch fermentation on non-traditional varieties to create a wine that is all about enjoyable drinking. 100% whole bunch fermentation that goes through 7 days of carbonic maceration to really enhance that fruit driven palate, followed by gently footstomping the ferments so that small amounts of tannin are extracted. A short maturation time is all that's needed to get this wine naturally stabilised before putting it in bottle.

NOSE: Cranberries, raspberries, fresh grassy notes with hint of white pepper spice.

PALATE: Fresh and bright, the acid is mouthwatering which supports the juicy berry flavours. There's a playful amount of tannins that aren't the defining attribute but they're there if you need them.

PAIR: Turkey, pork, Caprese salad.

CELLAR: Up to 10 years.
